Yoga Nidra is a beautiful meditation/relaxation practice that uses the inbuilt process of sleep states to bring you consciously to a place where you can release identification with thoughts, connect with self, set and intention and truly rest, and heal body and mind. It is also a very effective practice for getting off to sleep at night, and what I call ‘Nidra napping’ in order to keep going. Mindfulness is about ‘just being’, a refreshing break from thinking and doing.
The essence of Celtic spirituality was presence. Natural rhythm was honoured. There was a deep connection with the earth.
