2022 - Recent projects
Derval was one of four artists commissioned to work on a collaboration between Irish Hospice Foundation, HSE and Creative Ireland. The project will be launched in Jan 2023 aiming to support the wellbeing of 220,000 healthcare staff in Ireland.
Land and Language - Talamh agus Teanga Derval's first solo exhibition. It was interactive, inclusive, audio-visual and aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. It was exhibitied in the Town Hall Theatre, Westport and Linenhall Arts Centre, Castlebar, Co. Mayo

This work includes courses, workshops, zoom sessions and presentations at a variety of related national conferences.
Derval's art projects have been funded by Creative Ireland.

With his irrepressible enthusiasm for the wonder of nature, affable manner, and many years of ‘hands on’ experience Mick’s walks and talks are a beautiful blend of fun and learning aligning with many of the UN SDGs.
Mick is a qualified Marine and Countryside Guide (GMIT), Climate Control Ambassador in Mayo, he specializes in bird survey work.
Mick has facilitated walks and talks for The Museum of Country Life, Bird Watch Mayo, Mayo Education Centre and schools. Mick loves connecting, or re-connecting people with nature.
