One Day Retreat - Sunday June 28th 2026

For the first time ever I am sharing my new process.  It gave me hope and joy in the midst of grief!

Accessible, effortless, and fun, in a beautiful space overlooking Clew Bay, 5 minute walk from the beach.

Guided steps:

1. Release

Shed tension through effortless, enjoyable qigong-based movement with breath (nature-themed)

2. Regulate

Shift effortlessly from stress and overwhelm into feeling safe and coherent, using breath

3. Relax

Drop into deep rest with nature-themed Yoga Nidra (lying down). Dozing may be a side effect!

4. Reset

Lose track of time exploring colour, using ink. This is a process of play, not about production.

Re-emerge grounded, rested, restored, with simple, practical tools for sustainable wellbeing.

Cognitive science research shows that rest isn’t just recovery—it’s when integration, creativity, and emotional processing happen. When you access true rest, you move from surviving to thriving, you reinstate natural rhythm, create sustainable energy and experience joy.

My approach to wellbeing was shaped by:

  • Lived experience of PTSD, chronic fatigue, and profound grief

  • Two decades of professional practice

  • The nature-based philosophy of Manchán Magan and John Moriarty

  • Working on a team led by U.S. Psychiatrists Gerbarg & Brown – Breath-Body-Mind ™

  • Extensive training with Dan Brulee, Tony Robbins personal breath coach

  • Playing with breath and ink to allow e-motion to stay in motion

Important insight: When my brother Steve’s terminal diagnosis arrived an opportunity also arrived to exlore mark making with ink. I found myself connecting with nature, then exploring breath and ink, all without purpose. It allowed the energy of grief to flow, and gave me enormous hope and joy.

To my great surprise, within a year I had my first solo interactive, audio-visual, breath-based exhibition dedicated to Steve. Inspiration was my inspiration!

Unused creativity is not benign. It metastasizes. When creativity is suppressed or not expressed, it can manifest as negative emotions like grief, rage, judgment, sorrow, or shame.
